Solar EV charging benefits:
- Solar Energy is clean and displaces other Green House Gas contributing generation such as coal or natural gas fired plants. EVs charged on solar infrastructure are truly zero emission vehicles.
- Each EV requires the equivalent of one to two single family residences consumption of electricity. Solar infrastructure greatly reduces the impact of EV charging on our electrical grid and generation infrastructure while removing the cost of energy from the consumers budget.
- Around 80% of an EVs power consumption goes to cooling the battery until it reaches an optimum charging temperature. Vehicles which are shaded by our Solar Trees remain far cooler while parked than those in the open which further improves the value of shaded solar charging.
